About The Artist

Born and raised in New York City, Dolores Eckes has always been an admirer of Art. She was particularly impressed with the gourd art that was turning up in galleries around the country. Trying her hand at gourd art, she found her calling.

Now living in Yarnell Arizona, many of her gourds portray Southwest themes. In addition, her back east roots show through with some of her folk art designs.

Dolores has shown in juried art shows and is a juried member of the Arizona Art Alliance and the Wickenburg Art Club. Her Art Gourds are in ownership across the United States. Dolores’ works can also be seen in the Jerome Gallery, Jerome AZ and her studio at: Mountain Vista Art Studio in Yarnell by appointment. (928)427-4565
